Frankfooters 17.09.07 (backwards date, i don't know which one to use anymore.)

Ah yes the Frankfurt Auto Show. I've been behind on the bloggin so this is going to be power blog. No frills action. So new news is that we have internet at the house finally after 2 months. Not bad. But so far only 2 people can be connected at a time. Awesome. What does this mean? I don't know. So for now, maybe, I'll be able to get a little more done on the bloggins.

Curtis, Parker and I arrived in Frankfurt on Monday the 17th of last month to see the Frankfurt Auto Show. We met up with our old buddy and my roommate from the ArtCenter days, Jakob. (It's only been 3 months, but feels like ages sense I was at school.) It was nice to meet up and talk about where are lives had gone since we graduated. Jakob is now in Holland, MI (45 minutes away from where I grew up) and I am in Germany (where Jakob is from). It's funny like that.

So here's the huge ass Mercedes building. Yes, building. In Detroit or LA Mercedes has a nice section of the convention center showcasing 8-10 cars. In Germany Mercedes has a 5 story building. It was huge. I don't even remember looking at the super ugly F700. It was hidden in the corner somewhere.

We moved on to BMW. There was the CS thingy that looks like it wants to eat you there and the new M3 and blah, blah, cars and more cars. Here's a picture of the X6, big no?

After that, we checked out the other heavy hitters at the show. We saw the VW up! which was actually one of the nicest cars at the show and we saw this thing, which appears to be some sort of Lamborghini that has been folded and folded into little shapes and that's not what I want, you have to keep folding it and folding it, I don't want this, do you want this? no, it's ok, it's a joke really.....

It was one of the first public days, so it was pretty crowded. Jakob and I got a chance to catch up on everything going on in our lives. We walked around the Italian booth and saw this pretty dope Ferrari which was painted flat gray. No pic. We saw that sweet Alfa 8C. No pic. Then in the back I think there was Hyundai with a couple jacked up falling apart show cars, no pic. The mini clubman was cool, no pic. Renault had something dope, probably one of the better cars there with a super nice interior, here's the pic, just kidding, and what else, um, then there was this really huge Fiat 500. Jakob fell asleep for a while holding the rail.

Just as soon as the day started it was over. Jakob got his BMW 1er from Sixt and we drove it around for awhile. Check it out! We're flying!

So all in all it was probably the best car show I've ever been to.
